Work Experience

Current 4th year PhD Candidate at University of Amsterdam
Jan 2022 Research Institute of Child Development and Education, Methods & Statistics Programme Group
PhD candidate in research project that aims to broaden the scope of research questions that can be answered through meta-analytical structural equation modeling (MASEM). In particular, I investigate the possibilities of synthesizing raw datasets, instead of summary statistics, when conducting MASEM. Also I was involved in teaching several statistics courses (see ’Teaching’)
2021-2022 Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam
Tutorial Teacher in the Bachelor Programme of Psychology. I taught different courses (see ’Teaching’) to groups of first and second year Psychology and Pedagogical Sciences students.
2018 University of Amsterdam
Student Assistant. Translating and implementing an American anti-bullying intervention into the Dutch language and context.

Education

2018-2021 University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences
Master of Research, Child Development and Communication
Research Internship (Research Institute of Child Development and Education, Programme Group Psychopathology): "Developing the Early Shyness Inventory: A Scale Measuring Positive and Negative Shyness". I investigated the measurement of social behavior and shyness among young children (Grade 8.0).
Master Thesis: "Bi-Factor Modelling of Intelligence – Smart?". Conducting a simulation study, I investigated a novel possible explanation for the statistical edge that the bi-factor model has in explaining intelligence data, as compared to the higher-order factor model (Grade 8.1).
2018 Korea University, Seoul, South Korea
International Summer Campus
International exchange programme of educational and cultural content. I completed the course Advanced Developmental Psychopathology (Grade A+).
2016-2018 University of Amsterdam
Bachelors Degree, Pedagogical Sciences
Bachelor Thesis: Parenting Skills of Schizophrenic Parents (Grade 8.0).
Research Practice: Developing a parent-report measure for shyness in young children (Grade 8.0).
2010-2016 University of Amsterdam
Propaedeutical Diploma, Universitaire PABO
